Grievance letter on non payment of subsistence allowance

The Oxford Dictionary defines Subsistence as: The action or fact of maintaining or supporting oneself, especially at a minimal level.

The section12.12.3 of Service Rules and Regulations, 2019 of RICBL states:

“An employee who is on suspension shall receive subsistence allowance of 50% of the basic pay excluding allowances, which such employee was entitled immediately before suspension. No other allowances and benefits including increment and bonuses shall be payable.”

Disclaimer

This webpage is created with the sole purpose of shedding light on the experiences of four unfortunate employees named by RICBL.

It is not intended to undermine or challenge the decisions of the Hon'ble Courts but rather aims to explore how the institution they served for 16 years may have shifted responsibility in the context of a Loan Default Case from 40+ employees to only 4 employees.

Update: The Hon'ble High Court names four employees after the clarification issued on October 2, 2023.
